Three faculty from the College of Engineering are among the 21 University of Nebraska-Lincoln researchers appointed as National Strategic Research Institute (NSRI) Fellows - Jerry Hudgins, department chair and professor of electrical and computer engineering, Srivatsan Kidambi, associate professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering, and Yongfeng Lu, Lott Distinguished University Professor in electrical and computer engineering.

As a University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) designated by the Department of Defense and sponsored by U.S. Strategic Command, NSRI Nebraska and NU must maintain essential engineering and technology capabilities for the Department of Defense to leverage. More than 140 NU researchers serve as NSRI Fellows to help fulfill UARC requirements and deliver solutions.
