Climb reminds ROTC cadets of first responders' 9/11 sacrifice

US Army Staff Sargeant Kyle Aldrich, a local recruiter, ran the steps carrying an American flag. More than 160 UNL ROTC cadets along with active duty military personnel, local first responders and UNO Air Force ROTC cadets ran 2200 steps in Memorial Stadium today. The run honors the first responders who ran up the 110 floors of the World Trade Centr on 9/11.
