Ufuk Nalbantoglu earned his B.S. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Bogazici University, Turkey, in 2004, and his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in 2011. He continued his research at UNL between years 2011-2013. He joined Computer Engineering department of Erciyes University, Turkey, in 2014, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor. He is the program director of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology in Erciyes University, and also serves as the principal investigator of Bioinformatics Division in Genome and Stem Cell Center, Erciyes University. His principal research interests are the analysis of high-throughput biological data using the concepts of signal processing, machine learning, and information theory.
