Every year, scholars will have the opportunity to meet with their designated Success Coach, engage in inclusion education, participate in their scholar community, and share their experiences with others at our annual Friends & Family Day. In addition to ongoing programmatic experiences, scholars will have exclusive engagement opportunities each year in the Academy.
Academy Programmatic Experiences
- Attend Campus Readiness Retreat before your semester begins
- Participate and live in the PKFEA scholar community
- Fulfill your ENGR 10: Freshman Seminar requirement in your cohort-specific course
- Receive mentorship from your peers
Your First Year
- Participate and live in the PKFEA scholar community
- Fulfill your ENGR 20: Sophomore Seminar requirement in your cohort-specific course
- Receive mentorship from your peers
Your Second Year
- Become a mentor
- Run for the Academy's student-run advisory board
- Attend a local fall break industry trip
- Begin your culminating service project
- Start your faculty or industry mentor relationship
Your Third Year
- Mentor underclassmen in the Academy
- Lead on the Academy's student-run advisory board
- Complete your culminating service project
- Continue your faculty or industry mentor relationship
- Finish your degree and attend the graduation celebration!
