Community Experiences

Every year, scholars will have the opportunity to meet with their designated Success Coach, engage in inclusion education, participate in their scholar community, and share their experiences with others at our annual Trustees Event. In addition to ongoing programmatic experiences, scholars will have exclusive engagement opportunities each year in the Academy.

Academy Programmatic Experiences

  1. Your First Year

    - Attend Campus Readiness Retreat before your semester begins

    - Participate and live in the PKFEA scholar community

    - Fulfill your ENGR 102 and 103: Required PKFEA seminar courses alongside your cohort

    - Receive mentorship from your peers

    -Start your faculty or industry mentor relationship

  2. Your Second Year

    - Participate and live in the PKFEA scholar community

    - Fulfill your ENGR 20: Sophomore Seminar requirement in your cohort-specific course

    - Continue mentorship from your peers

    - Continue your faculty or industry mentor relationship

  3. Your Third Year

    - Join a PKFEA Service Committee

    - Attend a local fall break industry trip

    - Continue your faculty or industry mentor relationship

  4. Your Fourth Year

    - Participate in additional PKFEA Service Committee

    - Continue your faculty or industry mentor relationship

    - Finish your degree and attend the graduation celebration!
