Program Expectations
As a member of the Peter Kiewit Foundation Engineering Academy at the College of Engineering, we request you review the following Scholarship, Graduation, and Code of Conduct Requirements. All scholarship candidates will be expected to agree to these terms and maintain their commitment to these conditions over the course of the scholarship to be accepted and stay enrolled in the scholarship and program.
The Peter Kiewit Foundation Engineering Academy is an opportunity for you to join a distinguished group committed to academic excellence, professional growth and industry engagement. This scholarship opportunity would be an investment in your future and a reflection of your dedication to success.
To be accepted into the program and maintain good standing in the program, it is essential that all scholarship candidates adhere to all scholarship guidelines, including academic performance requirements, program participation, and professional expectations. This information will be provided to you throughout your time in the scholarship program, should you choose to accept the scholarship terms and requirements.
Scholarship agreement requirements:
- Successfully complete 30 credit hours annually.
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Active Engagement in PKFEA Programming, including:
- Professional leadership: 80% program participation and attendance.
- Regular participation in Success Coaching
- Experiential learning: Complete two professional experiences, including one internship ideally in Nebraska. The second experience may be an additional internship, research study, a study abroad program or registered student organization participation
- Additional involvement: Other Engineering Academy activities that contribute to academic and professional growth, including participation in the Complete Engineer® program as requested by college and program staff.
- Consent to share relevant data for program assessment and evaluation purposes
Graduation requirements:
Students must meet graduation requirements for their program of study.

Failure to follow these requirements may result in the loss of scholarship and removal from the program.
