This is a picture from the Medical Device Make-a-Thon at the University of Oklahoma. A team from BMES went to the competition, and we placed 8th of 27 teams from other universities with a device for hip dysplasia in infants. The competition involved research and development of a device and how it could meet FDA approval for commercialization.

How has the PKFEA program benefited your personal, professional, or academic growth?

PKFEA has given me the stability financially and personally to support my academic career and set me up for success in my professional career. I felt seen personally by my success coach, and this program gave me a leg up to provide a community to go through the college engineering experience with.
