Ronald Taylor retired in
2007 as general manager
of the Integrated Space
Systems Division at General
Dynamics. He had P&L
responsibility for integrating
end-to-end communication
solutions for mission critical
applications, including high
performance satellite design
and integration; satellite
communication; satellite
operations; and
specialized payloads.
Taylor served in Vietnam and received an honorable
discharge from the U.S. Navy, then earned his
bachelor’s degree with honors in electrical
engineering from UNL. He joined Motorola in
1977, launching a 30-year career in aerospace and
defense with numerous assignments of increasing
responsibilities, including 24 years with Motorola and
six years with General Dynamics after an acquisition
of Motorola’s Defense Business in 2001.
In addition to pursuing graduate studies at Arizona
State University, Taylor is a graduate of the executive
program at the University of Virginia’s Darden
Graduate School. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi
and Eta Kappa Nu honor societies and served as a
governor-appointed member of the Arizona Space
Commission from 1991 through 2005.
