Michael Sealy, associate professor of mechanical and materials engineering, has been chosen to recieve the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' 2020 Outstanding Young Manufacturer Award, given to engineers age 35 or younger.

Sealy is one of 15 "up-and-coming manufacturing engineers," age 35 or younger, who were chosen for the award for having made "significant technological and process improvement advancements across a variety of industries, including healthcare, automotive, aerospace, energy and mining."
