Siavash Jafarzadeh, a Ph.D. student in mechanical engineering, has been chosen to receive one of two 2018-19 Outstanding Graduate Research & Creative Activities Awards given out this year by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Office of Graduate Studies.
This award recognizes excellence in graduate student research and creativity at the university. Reviewers considered research summary and nomination materials as guidance in the decision.
Jafarzadeh will receive a $1,000 award and a commemorative medallion and will be recognized at an awards banquet later this spring.
