The intelligent network system (INT) lab at the School of Computing has two openings for NSF-funded REU. The REU openings are associated with the Husker-Net project, which is the first private 5G network in Nebraska. The responsibilities of REUs are to 1) support the communication with researchers, who will be using the Husker-Net; 2) assist graduate students doing network metric measurements on campus.

The requirements are: 1) Citizenship or permanent residence; 2) CoE undergraduates; 3) preferably familiar with cellular networks.

The stipend is: a minimum of $16 per hour. The hours per week are subject to discussion (up to 10 hours). This REU term can be up to one-year, and probably can be extended to 2-years.
