The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering will host the annual Tests of Engineering Aptitude Mathematics and Science (TEAMS) competition for area high school students, Friday, March 7, 2008. TEAMS is a program of the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) and is a day-long competition of engineering challenges illustrating how science and math principles, along with creativity and innovation, are applied to the real world of engineering.

Ninety locations across the country will host more than 14,000 students for the competition. This year, the competition will tap into the excitement of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, with students discovering behind-the-scenes challenges involved in conducting large-scale athletic events.
