Durham School's E-Headlines - Director's Update

Dear Alumni and Friends, 

I’m proud to have been a faculty member at Nebraska for the past 23 years and am now enjoying serving in my third year as Director of the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction. One area we are branching into is sending out a regular electronic newsletter to our alumni and industry partners.  Welcome to our first ‘E-Headlines’ newsletter! We’re excited to share recent activities and updates about our architectural engineering, construction engineering, and construction management programs.   

Among the stories in this first ‘E-Headlines’ are those highlighting two upcoming special occasions: one in honor of the 25^th anniversary of the architectural engineering program’s founding (celebrate with us on February 29, 2024!), and the other to celebrate the golden anniversary of our construction programs, planned for spring 2025 in the new Kiewit Hall.  For the latter event, we are opening a call for nominations of construction program alums to recognize as ‘luminaries’ at the Golden Anniversary celebration; please consider nominating your fellow construction program graduates or yourself!   

We are also excited to share stories on the recent student successes at various regional and national competitions and on our faculty involvement in a ‘Build-a-Hut’ STEM summer camp in Omaha. Finally, you may have noticed that the Durham School has increased its social media presence over the past year. Please follow us to stay up to date on our activities; we would also love to help celebrate your successes through our social media channels.
