As the Communications and Event Specialist for the Durham School, I lead strategic communications and produce signature events that advance student success, celebrate faculty excellence, and strengthen industry engagement across UNL’s Lincoln and Omaha campuses. My work spans digital content management, targeted marketing campaigns, promotion of departmental achievements, and event production that elevates the school’s visibility and impact.

I previously served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Nebraska Wesleyan University, teaching undergraduate Communication Studies, and earned my M.A. in Integrated Media Communications from UNL’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications. During my graduate studies, I worked as both a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a Graduate Research Assistant with UNL's College of Journalism and Mass Communication and the Office of Global Affairs, where I helped coordinate the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship for emerging African leaders.

Before joining UNL, I was Director of Media and Marketing Communications at Majorwaves Communications and Editor of the Majorwaves Energy Report and Orient Energy Report. I have also worked with corporate organizations and nonprofit institutions to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies aligned with their missions. My Nebraska journey began in 2017 as part of the inaugural Mandela Washington Fellowship cohort, returning in 2019 to pursue graduate studies.

With a career bridging academia, corporate communications, and global engagement, I am passionate about crafting compelling narratives, fostering meaningful relationships, and building communication strategies that drive engagement and long-term growth. Committed to mentorship, diversity, and student success, I draw on my journey to inspire and empower others, bringing people together to support shared goals and showcase the transformative power of engineering education.
