Max Wheeler is director of the DESIGN HUB in Kiewit Hall, a student workshop in Kiewit Hall. In this role, Max oversees operations, equipment maintenance, student worker hiring and training, and programming that supports student innovation through hands-on learning.
Max has over 6 years of industry experience with product development and refinery operations. Additionally he has over 6 years of direct experience with establishing, maintaining, and programming similar community based and academic focused workshops and makerspaces. Max is passionate about fostering technical skill development and creative problem-solving in a collaborative, student-focused environment.
Outside of work, Max enjoys staying active with hobbies like cycling, and working on his home. When he's not working on his own projects he can be found provide direct guide for students, faculty, and staff for their projects.
