Mia Virgillito earned their bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where they participated in competitive national public speaking on the Cornhusker Speech and Debate team. Their professional journey at the university began with their full-time role as Copywriter for the Academic Services and Enrollment Management marketing department. Mia then transitioned into the Senior Assistant Director of Marketing position, in which they planned and executed strategic integrated marketing campaigns targeting undergraduate prospective students. Mia has experience crafting copy and content for a wide variety of digital and print mediums, including web, targeted emails, digital advertisements, displays, printed guides and mailed publications. They are skilled in finding creative solutions through strategic marketing, copywriting, and communication.
