The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering is proud to offer competitive merit based scholarships for current first-year students on our Lincoln and Omaha campuses who participated in the PLTW curriculum in high school. Students who attended a certified PLTW high school and have completed coursework within the PLTW curriculum are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. The scholarships are one-time awards in the amounts of $1000. Five scholarships will be awarded annually to first-year engineering students.

Applicants must meet the following scholarship criteria in order to be considered:
- Enrolled as an undergraduate, full-time, first year student in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering on the Lincoln or Omaha campus.
- Attended a certified PLTW high school
- Completed at least two (2) full year PLTW courses and earned a grade of B (80%) or higher in each
- Earned a 6 or higher on the PLTW course EOC assessment for each course
- A Nebraska Engineering PLTW scholarship application
- A completed PLTW teacher form plus teacher recommendation
