Ry Steffen is from here in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is a Senior in Biological Systems Engineering. He is involved in undergraduate research on campus and has interned in pharmaceutical manufacturing with GSK and Haleon in the past two summers. After graduation, he plans on pursuing a master's degree in chemical engineering. His hobbies include hiking, playing the drums, and hunting for edible mushrooms.

Maria is a Senior Biological Systems Engineering major from David City, NE. She likes doing genetics-based synthetic biology research and is interested in bioinformatics for grad school. In her free time, Maria likes traveling, spending time outside, and reading.

Luke Freyhof

Luke is a senior in Biological Systems Engineering from Holland, Michigan. He has conducted cell mechanotransduction research here at UNL through Dr. Jung Yul Lim's lab, assisted with ENGR 100 as a TA for four semesters, and interned at Vibracoustic, an automotive supplier, for two summers. After graduating, Luke plans on pursuing a graduate degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in mechatronics. Outside of school and work, Luke enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, working out, spending time outdoors, and using Linux based operating systems.

Jordan Bollinger is from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is pursuing a Biological Systems Engineering major with minors in Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, and Spanish. She is involved in undergraduate research investigating novel treatments for low back pain. She enjoys research and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in the biomedical engineering field after graduation. She also works at the City Campus Rec Center and is a Committee Lead for UNL's American Cancer Society club. In her free time, she enjoys working out, listening to music, spending time outside, and baking.
