I was born and raised in Kearney, Nebraska, where I spent most of my time outside of school developing passions for painting, music, and traveling.
Over this past year, I have had the opportunity to take on multiple exciting projects. One of these projects included working with two other students at Kearney High School to design and develop a switch-adapted instrument for Kearney Special Musicians, an organization that teaches students with both physical and mental disabilities how to play and interact with music.
Throughout high school, I was also involved with the Family Career and Community Leaders of America, where I recently placed first in competitive events at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. As a part of the Kiewit Scholars Program, I am looking forward to working with engineering professionals from around the world to prepare for my own professional life.
I am currently majoring in civil engineering and hope to eventually use this career to help improve the way humans interact with the environment on a daily basis.
