When asked about her internship experience, Caitey had this message to share:
"I had an internship for the Army Corp of Engineers at the Fort Randall Dam in Pickstown, SD. I spent the summer helping my boss who was resident engineer on the Construction Division on various contracts like crane rehabilitation, raw water strainers and valves, and even GSU Transformer Install. I got to tour the dam, intake structure, and even the spillway. I learned so much about the dam and that there are so many different functioning parts to one. I had an opportunity to travel up to Pierre, South Dakota and visit/tour that dam as well. Having an internship like this gave me insight into the field as well as security in knowing that this field is where I want to be."
