Four College of Engineering faculty - Stuart Bernstein, Shudipto Dishari, George Gogos and Jerry Hudgins - are among the 23 University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty and staff selected to receive annual awards from the university's Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor (EVC).

Recipients of the EVC honors will be recognized at the university's annual The Laurels award reception in the fall.

Bernstein and Dishari were selected to receive College Distinguished Teaching awards that recognize faculty across the university for excellence in teaching.

Gogos was named the recipient of the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award, which recognizes a full-time faculty member who has "demonstrated excellence in mentoring and supporting undergraduate researchers’ educational and career paths through their availability, attentiveness, encouragement, and understanding."

Hudgins was chosen to recieve the James O'Hanlon Academic Leader Award, which honors a full-time faculty or staff member who "demonstrates exceptional abilities to lead, serve, inspire, and collaborate on the academic goals of the university." The award is named for Dr. James O’Hanlon, who served the university in academic leadership positions for over 30 years including many in the College of Engineering.
