More than 140 students on 35 teams from across the College of Engineering presented their senior design capstone projects during the 2023 Senior Design Showcase on May 12 at the NU Coliseum.

These projects reflect real-world professional challenges, environments and, in some cases, collaborations with industry clients to develop products and devices that could have immediate impact.

Team members were on-hand at the SDS to demonstrate and discuss their projects. Guests voted for their favorite project, and the People's Choice Award. A mechanical engineering team won the award for their project, "Statistical Process Control of Filter End-Cap-Fill-Weight Via External Weigh Station." The winning team members were Grant Meyer, Caleb Osmond, Merjen Palvanova, Ryan Salisbury and Samuel Whitney.
