Matthew S. Spyers is the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at FNBO (First National Bank of Omaha). Matt’s direct responsibilities include Information Technology, Information Security, and First National Technology Solutions (FNTS). In his role, Matt drives FNBO’s technology strategy, ensuring the organization delivers secure, scalable, and innovative solutions that enhance customer experiences and operational performance. Matt also serves on the FNBO Board of Directors.

Matt has over 30 years of experience in the field of technology.  Prior to joining FNBO, Matt was Vice President, Technology for both ConAgra Brands and TreeHouse Foods, Inc. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Matt actively contributes to his community as the Executive Chairman of the Nebraska Tech Collaborative (NTC), leading efforts to advance Nebraska’s technology ecosystem through innovation and talent development. He is also a member of the University of Nebraska–Omaha College of IS&T Advisory Board, where he contributes to the growth and development of future engineering and technology leaders.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Matt holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He resides in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife, Jamie, and their three children.
