I began working for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln soon after I completed my undergraduate degree at the university. I find it incredibly fulfilling working at an institution and having the privilege to walk alongside students as they navigate this transformative period in their life.
In the engineering college, my role is primarily working through the behind the scenes of awarding student scholarships and also includes overseeing our office front desk. I supervise our student staff who head our front desk and work with each of them on different professional skills like answering the phone, interacting with current or perspective students and families, instilling the use of professional language, how to create an inviting, inclusive space, and assisting each student in beginning their professional confidence.
