Success Coaching:
The monthly success coaching has been very important and beneficial towards my personal and academic life. I am able to share my concerns and goals in these meetings, and every single time I have felt listened to. The meetings allow me to open up and help me relax during stressful times.
Peer Mentorship:
The peer mentorship has helped me become more comfortable talking to upperclassmen and has provided me with a lot of guidance. My mentors provide a shoulder to lean on and also bring more excitement to the program.
Freshman Seminar Class:
The freshman seminar class has taught me about the six Complete Engineer Competencies and how to develop them. Not only do I learn about the ins and outs of being an engineer, but the class has been so much fun. The atmosphere honestly feels like I’m hanging out with a group of friends.
Workshop/Events:
The events that I have attended have all been exciting and feel like mini field trips. These events have truly been some of the most fun I have had in college. They are perfect opportunities to hang out with other students with similar interests and goals.
Best part of being a member of MEP:
Joining MEP has been one of the best decisions I have made since coming to college because it has given me an outlet for social interaction and provided me with so much support. Everyone I have met has been so welcoming and friendly. It truly feels like I belong here and that inclusiveness is exactly what I was seeking.
